Sketchcrawl at the Central Park Zoo - Part 3

I finally painted my last sketchbook page from our trip to the Central Park Zoo.  The tortoise and the skink were not very interestin animals, but they stayed perfectly still while I made a quick sketch, so I decided to add them to my blog with all of the other animals.  They obviously are not drawn to size.

The skink is really cool looking and *very* interesting. Love that you chose to draw him. Very nice!

I love the turtle! I fortunately had my sketchbook with me on Saturday, realizing only that morning it was a sketchcrawl day. I went exploring the tidepools with my Amy at Point Loma in San Diego. I did a nice little sketch there. The night before we did night time at the SD Zoo. What fun! I need to go one day alone with my sketchbook to do the animals. But all that will have to wait, surgery in one week and summer ends for me for a while I'm afraid. Hope you are doing well!

These are adorable - how nice of them to pose for you!

Your artwork charms me! Seeing these pieces from the CP Zoo is inspiring me to do some sketching at the zoo. I'm certainly there often enough with my kids, but I have never sketched there. Thanks for looking at my blog...and I know I'll be back looking at yours. Nice to meet you, "neighbor!"
