EDM Challenge #158
This was a really, really hard challenge for me. I'm not sure that any piece of my popcorn has "volume" and due to the lighting in my favorite painting place, I also don't have shadows. At least the popcorn-eating was enjoyable.

Oh, my G-d!!!
I'm completly shocked!
Look - I also draw on the same type of paper, same kind of stuff, with Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer set of aquarell pencils, practicing yoga... But in Moscow :) I'm also studying how to draw nicely and mark my sketches in the same way.
The only difference is that I also try to use markers.
So, nice to meet u, far drawing friend!
I love your pictures so much and wish u an inspirational and bright practice!

Hi Shirley! I had just thought that I hadn't been to your blog in a while, clicked on my blog to get the link from my sidebar and there was a comment from you! Synchronicity?
I think you did a really good job on this. I can't do this challenge because I'm on a low -carb diet, so I'll have to make do with enjoying yours. If I had popcorn around I'd eat way too much of it.

The popcorn was hard, I did it myself, but I think you did a great job.

I like the patterning in this piece and the popcorn looks good enough to eat off the page! Nice job. Wishing you many hours of happy drawing!

Ok Shirley, NO Doubt this is popcorn, and the shading is good, I understand well the problems getting shadowing, as I too have inferior lighting for my art and NO natural light when I do my sketching, I think shadowing is all that is needed here! Good Work and Good Girl for posting something you do not love!

This caught my eye on the superblog. I liked the softness and composition of the entire drawing. There is no doubt this is popcorn. And I agree, It is tough to post something you are less than thrilled over. Been there. *grin* Glad you did!

Popcorn is very hard to draw! I think this looks great. I love the composition and the softness of colors.
