Piccadilly Circus - in Color

While watching "breaking news" of the car bomb found on the Haymarket, I sketched Piccadilly Circus from a photo I took several days before.  I sketched in pencil and then used a Zig Millenium pen to draw the scene more accurately.  It took me this long to go back to that page in my sketchbook and add watercolor washes.  I really love color and can't be happy until my ink sketches are painted.    The first iteration was posted with other London journal pages on July 1st.

TERRIFIC perspective, Shirley!! Lovely washes and job!

And another great sketch, you have really mastered these scene!! Perspective, detail, people, everything. Have a great weekend!, Sandy

I think it time for you to put all your London sketches together into a published travel book for me to take on my trip in a few months!!!! I get so excited everytime I see one of your London sketches....this one in particular if great with the bright colors of the signs...oh, I can feel the buzz of Picadilly Circus!!!

I really love your mini vacation sketches! Each one captures the scene in a simple, "clean" way, and your watercolors are lovely. My only suggestion would be to go back into them and add another glaze to create a vivid dark color here or there. Otherwise, they are perfect!
