EDM Challenge #94: Draw a Spoon

I am really, really bad at painting reflections in glass and metal. So I actually drew spoons for 2 days to try to improve my skills. In reality, I would need to paint reflections every day for an entire year to understand what I am doing. As I type this I realize that I never even cropped the second sketch so it is very obvious that I am using the Moleskine watercolor journal now for my daily practice. I am able to use both sides of each page using watercolor, so I am enjoying the process and results as I flip through my visual record of the recent weeks.

I like your serving spoon a lot - well done for getting the reflections in it. Such a pleasing shape, I think.

I can sure relate to the difficult with reflections! But yours honestly look just great as well as the spoon shape.

Love the spoons! I like the shadows, I'm trying to nail them down myself. Great work! When I look at them I see spoons, with reflections, you did well.

Hey, that's a wonderful spoon, perfect shape and good reflections.

These are lovely - especially the top one. You've got the reflections beautifully, so that it actually looks 'scooped' and round. I like the steadiness of the line in the curves too. Mine always wobble.
