Holiday Traditions

This was the 3rd year that I took my grand daughter Sydney to see the NY City Ballet's Nutcracker.  I remember the performance vividly from my younger days and will always judge other performances by the size of their growing Christmas tree.  It is still magical to me!  This week the performance was featured on PBS's Live from Lincoln Center, so we now have it on our DVR. My other grand daughter (age 3) can see it the next time she visits from Washington DC.

On Tuesday my husband and I went to an open rehearsal of the NY Philharmonic playing Handel's Messiah.  There is at least one peformance each day of the Messiah someplace in NYC, and the NY Philharmonic alone is playing 5 performances of it - through this weekend.  It was wonderful - and we now have the CD on in the apartment each morning.  This page was drawn as we were waiting for the rehearsal to begin.

I love that you sketched while watching the show!

You have found your style! I'm still looking.
