Virtual Sketch Date - Tree Peony

I saw Sherrie and Kathleen's Tree Peonies and just had to try one for my daily sketch today. I didn't know anything about the Virtual Sketch Date, but now have it bookmarked to see what photos are posted in the future. I need lots of practice sketching and painting reflections on glass, so this was a good challenge for me while I was trying to listen to the important news broadcast while painting.

I like your work. Very lovely.
Can not wait until I get to color. Right now just the basics for me.
Have to find out what the Virtual Sketch is about. MMMM Just may try it.
Thank you for allowing me to enjoy your art work.

Very nice. You did a great job. Your inking doesn't overpower the paint but adds to the detail.

That's exactly how I felt when I saw Susan's and had to give it a shot--I just barely made the date -Your interpretation is lovely, very soft and delicate - Great job

Just gorgeous Shirley and well suited to your style - I think I will try it too and maybe participate in the next one - as far as the WC workshop I am doing - it is conducted by Jane LiFazio www.janeville.blogspot.com She travels all over the country (and italy in 2010) teaching wc journaling - if you search her blog you will find many posts from her various workshops, I love her style and upstate NY in Oct on Lake Bonaparte should be fabulous - it is outside Syracuse - Maybe you could come this weekend!!!
